Coming soon: KINNECT Powered by Carelever
A new occupational health platform designed to reduce administration, improve the assessment experience and help keep work moving.
A more connected way for KINNECT clients and workers to move through occupational health.

Less client data entry
Clearer worker journey
Direct booking into KINNECT clinics
When you’re coordinating pre-employment medicals or health monitoring across a workforce, every extra step takes time. Entering information, arranging appointments and following up on outstanding requirements all add to the workload of recruitment, mobilisation and health and safety teams.
For candidates and workers, the experience matters just as much. Booking an assessment should be straightforward, and when additional medical information is needed, the next step should be easy to understand.
These practical needs are at the centre of KINNECT Powered by Carelever, KINNECT’s new occupational health platform, launching very soon.
Purpose-built from the ground up by KINNECT’s sister company, Carelever, the platform connects the people involved in the assessment journey: clients requesting services, candidates and workers receiving them, and the KINNECT and partner clinics performing assessments.
Built from experience, shaped around client needs
The new platform brings together learnings from KINNECT’s previous system, the needs of its clients and new advances in automation and artificial intelligence (AI).
Building from the ground up has provided an opportunity to rethink how the journey works, from the initial request and appointment booking through to the additional steps that may be needed before an assessment can be finalised.
The focus is on the practical experience of using the system. How much information does a client need to enter? How easily can a worker arrange an appointment? What happens when someone needs to provide further medical information?
These are the everyday interactions that influence how efficiently assessments progress and how supported people feel along the way. The new platform has been developed with those interactions in mind.
“Building this platform from the ground up has allowed us to combine what KINNECT has learnt from delivering occupational health services with the opportunities now available through automation and AI. Our focus is on practical improvements: making the system easier to use, reducing manual work and identifying issues early so they can be addressed sooner.”
Kevin Conlon, CEO of Carelever
Automation and AI with a practical purpose
Advances in automation and AI are an important part of the new platform’s design. KINNECT and Carelever are using these capabilities to improve the experience, quality and speed of the assessment process.
Increased automation and smarter workflows are designed to reduce manual handling and help assessments move through the journey more efficiently. The aim is to reduce unnecessary administration and support more consistent processes, with fewer routine tasks requiring manual follow-up.
The platform is also designed to identify delays and issues in real time, as soon as they arise, rather than relying on someone to escalate a concern or discovering it after significant time has passed. This earlier visibility helps KINNECT’s teams recognise where attention is needed and act sooner to keep assessments moving.
For clients managing significant assessment volumes, even small improvements in day-to-day coordination can matter. Less time entering information or arranging the next step means more time available for recruitment, workforce planning and operations.
For candidates and workers, the focus is on making the process easier to navigate, including when their assessment involves additional requirements.
Less data entry and more flexibility for clients
Clients requesting pre-employment medicals and health monitoring assessments will have an improved user experience, with less data entry, more settings and greater customisation.
Organisations have different ways of coordinating occupational health. Some manage requests centrally, while others involve teams across multiple locations. Greater flexibility within the platform is intended to better support the way clients work.
The new experience is also designed to reduce the need for routine emails and calls to KINNECT. By making more of the process easier to manage within the system, clients can spend less time on the back-and-forth involved in coordinating assessments.
The intended outcome is straightforward: a process that requires less administration from the people responsible for keeping workforce health requirements on track.
A clearer journey for candidates and workers
An occupational health assessment is often part of a wider experience for the person attending it. A candidate may be preparing to start a new role. An existing worker may be completing health monitoring as part of their ongoing employment.
In both situations, clear communication and an easy-to-use system make a difference.
The new platform places particular emphasis on situations where the assessment journey involves extra steps, such as obtaining medical clearance or providing further medical information to KINNECT.
These requirements can be unfamiliar. People need to understand what is being requested and how to provide the information needed to progress their assessment.
KINNECT Powered by Carelever is designed to make those interactions easier to navigate. Improving this part of the experience supports the individual and helps reduce the coordination involved for everyone else in the process.
For employers, that matters because the assessment experience also forms part of how candidates and workers experience their organisation.
“Our clients need assessments to progress with less administration, and their people need to understand what happens next. This platform is designed around both needs. Whether someone is booking a medical or providing additional information, we want the experience to be clearer and easier to manage, with our teams able to recognise and respond sooner when something needs attention.”
David Hughes, CEO of KINNECT
Direct booking into KINNECT clinics
The new platform will allow clients, candidates and workers to book directly into any KINNECT clinic for all services.
This gives organisations and the people attending assessments greater flexibility in arranging appointments. A client can make the booking, or the candidate or worker can book directly themselves.
For someone balancing work commitments, travel or other responsibilities, being able to arrange their own appointment can make the process more convenient. For the employer, it can reduce the back-and-forth involved in coordinating a suitable booking.
Direct booking is one of the practical ways the platform is designed to make occupational health easier to access and manage.
Connecting clients, workers and clinics
KINNECT Powered by Carelever supports more than the initial assessment request. KINNECT clinics and partner clinics will also use the system to perform assessments.
This means the platform has been built around the needs of the different people involved in delivering and receiving occupational health services.
Clients need an efficient way to request and coordinate assessments. Candidates and workers need a clear, manageable experience. Clinics need a system that supports their role in completing the assessment process.
Bringing those needs into the same platform helps connect the journey, with a shared focus on improving how each stage works.
Eight weeks of early client participation
A select group of KINNECT clients has already participated in a beta phase over the past eight weeks, using the new platform ahead of its wider launch.
This early participation is an important step towards introducing a system built around the practical needs of the organisations and people who use KINNECT’s services.
With the wider launch approaching, KINNECT Powered by Carelever represents the next step in how KINNECT supports pre-employment medicals and health monitoring: less administration, a clearer experience and technology designed to improve quality and speed throughout the journey.
