KINNECTed Care is an integrated model of workplace rehabilitation that pairs a KINNECT Rehab Consultant with an in-house Occupational & Environmental Physician and the worker’s Treating Doctor, coordinated through a Medical Case Conference. It is designed for complex and secondary mental-health claims where early specialist input speeds recovery and return to work. The model is delivered nationally and runs under the Wellbeing Support Service in Victoria.

Meet your Rehab Consultant
A KINNECT Rehab Consultant completes a thorough biopsychosocial assessment — your injury, diagnosis, recovery to date, supports at home and at work, and your personal goals — and builds an initial recovery plan.

Meet your KINNECT Doctor
A telehealth check-in with our in-house Occupational & Environmental Physician — a workplace rehabilitation specialist. Your Treating Doctor is also called to align on history and goals.

Medical Case Conference
You, your Treating Doctor, the KINNECT Occupational Physician and your Rehab Consultant meet together to agree the recovery plan, supports and next steps — everyone on the same page.

Implement the recovery plan
Your Rehab Consultant coordinates the plan day-to-day, keeps treating professionals updated and adapts the plan as your capacity changes. If things stall, we re-engage the team.

Back to health, back to life
The goal is sustainable recovery — whether that is a full return to work, exploring new employment options, or simply getting back to normal activities at home.
If a recovery hits a set-back, your Rehab Consultant re-engages the Treating Doctor and the KINNECT Physician and adapts the plan. A further Medical Case Conference can be arranged whenever the case needs it.

KINNECTed Care is KINNECT’s integrated workplace rehabilitation model. It combines a Rehab Consultant, an in-house Occupational & Environmental Physician and the worker’s Treating Doctor in a coordinated, recovery-at-work approach — anchored by a Medical Case Conference where the plan is agreed together.
Who is KINNECTed Care designed for?
It is designed for complex workplace injury and illness cases — and is particularly effective for secondary mental-health claims where early Occupational Physician input can change the trajectory. Workers, Treating Doctors, Agents, Insurers and Employers can all be involved in a single integrated case.
Where is KINNECTed Care available?
KINNECTed Care is delivered nationally across Australia. In Victoria, it operates under the Wellbeing Support Service for workers covered by the Victorian Worker’s Compensation Scheme.
How is a Medical Case Conference different to a normal case meeting?
A Medical Case Conference is a structured, multi-disciplinary session attended by the worker, their Treating Doctor, the KINNECT Occupational Physician and the KINNECT Rehab Consultant. The output is a single, jointly agreed recovery plan — not a series of disconnected conversations.
Can the KINNECTed Care model be used across different schemes?
Yes. The model is intentionally flexible and has been adapted to work across jurisdictions and scheme requirements. We are happy to talk through how it fits into your existing claims and case management framework.
