The short version
KINNECT delivers interactive Fatigue Management Training onsite at your workplace — not in a classroom. The basic 90-minute program combines a short theory session with a hands-on practical component, capped at 20 workers per session and delivered by tertiary-qualified allied health professionals (Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Accredited Exercise Physiologists). Every participant receives a digital certificate, and a fatigue management summary report is supplied on request. Programs are available nationwide.
More than just feeling tired.
Fatigue is an overwhelming sense of tiredness and exhaustion associated with impaired physical or cognitive functioning. Depending on the degree of impairment, it can place workers at risk of injury, illness — or worse.
A Monash University study found fatigue contributes to roughly 10,000 serious workplace injuries every year in Australia, driving lost productivity, reduced morale and safety-critical errors. Fatigue affects people in different ways — physical, cognitive, emotional — which is why a one-size training video doesn’t shift behaviour.
Built on 20+ years of injury prevention
Developed by occupational health professionals drawing on two decades of delivering injury prevention services across Australian workplaces.
Designed to change behaviour
Workers walk away with practical, realistic strategies they can apply at home and at work — not a slide deck they forget by the end of the shift.
Delivered in the field, not the classroom
Our trainers come to your workplace and run the session alongside the workforce — interactive, hands-on, and relevant to the tasks your team actually does.
A 90-minute, theory-plus-practical workshop.
Our basic Fatigue Management Training program runs for 90 minutes — a short theoretical presentation followed by a practical component to reinforce learning and drive behavioural change.
Sessions are capped at 20 workers per session to ensure maximum engagement and enough time for the practical to land properly.
- Fatigue signs and symptoms
- Causes and considerations
- Consequences of fatigue at work
- Fatigue and stress management tips
- Practical techniques to combat fatigue
- Strategies to achieve better quality rest
Three steps from booking to certificates.
We handle the logistics so your safety or HR team just need to point participants at the room and hit go.
- 01
Prior to the training
We confirm location, date and time, participant numbers and any customisation of the training material. We also check whether site inductions or specific PPE are required, and whether you want a summary report afterwards.
- 02
On the day
Our KINNECT Allied Health Professional arrives 15 minutes early to meet your key stakeholders and set up. The session runs theory then practical, finishing with a short competency assessment completed by every participant.
- 03
After the training
Within 24 hours we issue digital certificates of completion for every participant. If you opted in, we also deliver a summary report covering participant numbers, education delivered, behavioural recommendations and best-practice next steps.
Facilities required: a TV with HDMI input or a projector. If neither is available we’ll still deliver the training and provide printed handout materials for every participant.
Why employers run a fatigue program.
A short, well-delivered training program pays back across safety, claims, culture and output.
Stronger safety culture
Investing in fatigue management signals to your people that you take health and safety seriously — and a stronger safety culture follows.
Reduced compensation costs
Better fatigue management lowers human error and the accidents that follow — directly reducing the cost of claims and lost-time injuries.
Happier, healthier employees
Well-rested workers are healthier and happier — at work and at home — which translates to lower absenteeism and better engagement.
Productivity gains
Fewer fatigue-related incidents means more time on task, fewer interruptions and measurable efficiency gains for your business.
