A single Gladstone Industry Medical Pass provides Fitness for Work site access across all four major Gladstone industrial sites.
The short version
The Gladstone Industry Medical Pass — formerly the Gladstone 3 Site Medical — is the standardised pre-employment and ongoing health surveillance assessment required for workers needing to access the major Gladstone industrial sites: Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL), Rio Tinto Alcan Yarwun (RTAY), Boyne Smelters (BSL) and NRG Gladstone Power Station. KINNECT delivers the assessment to current site standards, issues a Fitness for Work card valid for two years, and supports both Low Risk (Blue Card) and High Risk (BSL Yellow Card) site categories.
Two card tiers, one assessment process.
Card type and testing requirements are governed by the site you need to access. KINNECT ensures every assessment meets the current site standards, and a doctor may add components based on review or ad hoc site requests.

Frequently asked questions.
How long is the Gladstone Industry Medical Pass valid for?
The Fitness for Work card is valid for two years for both Low Risk (Blue Card — QAL, RTAY, NRG) and High Risk (Yellow Card — BSL) categories. High Risk Yellow Card holders also complete a standard spirometry every six months between medicals.
What are the site standards?
Testing requirements and grading are governed by the sites themselves (QAL, RTAY, BSL and NRG). KINNECT ensures every assessment meets the current standards set by those sites.
What happens if an employee does not meet the standards?
Contractors can request a re-assessment onsite through the relevant onsite medical centres. If the re-assessment is successful, restrictions may be removed from the access card.
Can a Low Risk (Blue Card) holder upgrade to High Risk (Yellow Card)?
Yes. The upgrade requires additional pre/post Ventolin spirometry with a urine test, plus a doctor review. KINNECT can arrange this as part of the same assessment.
How do existing KINNECT clients request a medical?
Existing clients with a Carelever Monitor account can request a Gladstone Industry Medical Pass directly via Carelever. If you have an account but don’t yet have access to Carelever Monitor, call 1300 546 632 and our Customer Team will get you set up.
Can I book without a KINNECT account?
Yes. One-off bookings for clients without an account can be made online via the Click & KINNECT Shop, or by calling 1300 546 632 to speak with our Customer Team.
