KINNECT are experienced in conducting medicals to identify potential harm from exposure to isocyanates during the manufacturing of polyurethane foams, rubbers and plastics or through the use of varnishes, adhesives and paints.
Exposure to isocyanates irritates the mucous membranes of the eyes, gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts. Acute exposure may result in occupational asthma and other severe adverse health effects for workers.
Due to the health risks, there is a legislative requirement for Isocyanate health surveillance programs. These must be conducted under the supervision of a medical practitioner, such as those employed by KINNECT, with experience in health monitoring.
