Quick answer

The short version

KINNECT Telehealth: Psychological Services connects your workers directly with our registered psychologists by secure video conference — no clinic visit required. We use telehealth to deliver psychological counselling and psychological health risk assessments so employers can respond quickly to emerging mental health concerns, no matter where the worker is based. Sessions are available Australia-wide and can be booked alongside the rest of KINNECT's psychological services.

What it is

Psychology sessions — delivered wherever your worker is.

KINNECT’s telehealth psychological services give your workforce direct access to our registered psychologists by secure video conference — the same clinicians who deliver our counselling, capacity evaluation and injury management programs — without the worker needing to travel to a clinic.

It’s the fastest way to get a qualified psychologist in front of a worker when a mental health concern emerges, when the worker is geographically dispersed, or when an in-person appointment simply isn’t practical in the timeframe you need.

Who it’s for

Any organisation that needs timely psychology input for a worker — and doesn’t need that worker physically in a clinic to get it.

  • Employers responding to emerging mental health concerns
  • WHS & HR teams managing psychosocial risk
  • Remote, regional and FIFO workforces
  • Distributed teams working from multiple sites
  • Workers without easy access to a clinic psychologist
  • Insurers and case managers needing timely psychology input
What we deliver by telehealth

Two core services — delivered remotely, by registered psychologists.

Where a face-to-face session isn’t the deciding factor, a telehealth consult gets a psychologist in front of your worker faster — without taking them offsite or out of community.

  • Psychological Counselling

Confidential one-to-one sessions with a registered psychologist — supporting workers through stress, adjustment to injury, workplace conflict and emerging mental health concerns before they escalate.

  • Psychological Health Risk Assessments

Structured psychologist-led assessments that help employers understand the psychosocial risks in their workforce and act on them — informed by the worker’s lived experience, not just survey data.

How telehealth works at KINNECT

From request to session — usually within a few business days.

Same registered psychologists, same standard of care — booked and delivered in a format that works for your worker and your site.

  1. 01

    Make a request

Submit a request online or call our team. Let us know the kind of support the worker needs and any timing constraints.

  2. 02

    We match a psychologist

We allocate a registered psychologist with the right experience for the matter and confirm a session time that works for the worker.

  3. 03

    Worker joins by video

The worker joins a secure video session from home, a private room onsite, or wherever they have a confidential space and a reliable connection.

  4. 04

You get the outcome you need

Where appropriate, we provide a structured report or recommendations for the employer — without compromising the confidentiality of the counselling relationship.

Why telehealth

Built for modern, distributed workforces.

  • Reach workers anywhere in Australia

Distributed, regional and FIFO workforces get the same access to a registered psychologist as workers in a capital city.

  • Move quickly when something emerges

Skip the clinic waitlist. We can match a psychologist and confirm a session in the timeframe a worker — and your business — actually needs.

  • Keep the worker in their context

Sessions happen from a place the worker is comfortable in. No travel, no time off the roster, no extra friction at a vulnerable moment.

  • Joined up with the rest of psych services

Telehealth sits inside our broader psychological services team — so counselling, capacity evaluations and injury management stay coordinated.

Frequently asked

Common questions about telehealth psychological services.

  • Who actually conducts the telehealth session?

One of KINNECT’s registered psychologists — the same clinicians who deliver our counselling, capacity evaluation and psychological injury management programs. You’re not routed to an external EAP panel.

  • What does the worker need to join?

A device with a camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection, and a private space where they can speak confidentially. We’ll send joining instructions ahead of the session.

  • Is the session confidential?

Yes. Counselling sessions are confidential between the worker and the psychologist. Where a report or recommendations have been requested, we agree the scope with the employer up front and the worker knows what will be shared.

  • How do I request a telehealth psychology session?

Use the form on our Contact Us page or call 1300 546 632 and let our team know the worker needs telehealth psychological support. We’ll confirm a time and the right psychologist for the matter.
