QLD Government SOA: KINNECT holds the Standing Offer Arrangement (COM-0126) for the prevention and management of workplace injuries and illness.
Quick answer
The short version
KINNECT delivers office ergonomic assessments, onsite or via video call, for individuals, injured workers and whole teams. A tertiary-qualified Allied Health Professional (Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist) reviews each worker’s tasks, workstation and seating, then provides stretches, self-management strategies and equipment recommendations in a written report. Choose a Standard (30 min) assessment for prevention, a Comprehensive (60 min) assessment for symptomatic or injured workers, or Group (15–20 min per person) assessments for cost-effective whole-team coverage. KINNECT holds a Queensland Government Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA COM-0126) for prevention and management of workplace injuries.
Why ergonomics pays off
Comfortable workers perform better, and stay injury-free.
Around one-third of workers’ compensation is paid out on musculoskeletal conditions caused or aggravated by poor ergonomics. A proactive office ergonomics program lowers that risk, reduces absenteeism and demonstrates a genuine commitment to your team’s wellbeing.
A stronger safety culture
Investing in ergonomics signals that your company takes employee health seriously and reinforces a proactive safety culture across the team.
Lower compensation costs
Musculoskeletal disorders are one of the most common, and most expensive, workplace injury claims. Early intervention keeps people working and claims out.
Engagement and productivity
Comfortable, healthy workers concentrate better, take fewer sick days and stay engaged. Better setups translate directly into more consistent output.
Assessment types
Three formats, pick the one that fits the worker, not the other way around.
Every assessment is delivered by a tertiary-qualified Allied Health Professional: Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists or Accredited Exercise Physiologists who specialise in ergonomic solutions. All three formats can review sit-to-stand workstations.

Two ways to deliver it
Onsite at your workplace, or by video call for remote and hybrid teams.
Most workplaces run a hybrid program, onsite assessments for office-based staff and virtual assessments for anyone working from home, regional sites or on rotation.
Onsite at your workplace
An Allied Health Professional comes to your office and reviews each worker at their actual workstation, chair, monitors, keyboard, lighting and tasks all in context.
Best for office-based teams at a single location
Adjustments made on the spot, not from a checklist
Pairs naturally with group seminars and team rollouts
Virtual ergonomic assessments
Conducted via secure video call, the assessor guides the worker through workstation adjustments in real time and follows up with a written report and recommendations.
Designed for home-based, hybrid and remote workers
Scales easily across multiple states and time zones
Typically scheduled within a few days of request

Who completes the assessments?
Assessments are completed by tertiary-qualified Allied Health Professionals, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Accredited Exercise Physiologists experienced in the delivery of ergonomic solutions.
Can the assessments be conducted remotely?
Yes. We offer virtual ergonomic assessments for employees working from home or in remote locations. These are conducted via video call, where the assessor guides employees through workstation adjustments and provides tailored recommendations.
What’s the difference between a standard and a comprehensive assessment?
A standard ergonomic assessment focuses on workstation setup and posture adjustments. A comprehensive assessment includes a more detailed evaluation of any pre-existing musculoskeletal concerns, in-depth recommendations and a formal written report.
Do you provide training as well as individual assessments?
Yes, we offer both individual ergonomic assessments and group training sessions. Our training workshops cover ergonomic principles, posture awareness and how to optimise workspaces to prevent discomfort and injury.
Will you recommend new ergonomic equipment?
Our goal is to optimise the existing workstation setup first. If adjustments aren’t sufficient, we may recommend ergonomic accessories such as chairs, keyboards, mice, footrests or sit-stand desks, with practical, cost-effective solutions based on individual needs.
Do you offer follow-up support after the assessment?
Yes. We offer ongoing support if employees need further guidance or additional adjustments, and we can conduct reassessments to ensure long-term ergonomic improvements are maintained.
How soon can we schedule an assessment?
We can typically schedule onsite or virtual ergonomic assessments within a few days, depending on availability and location. For urgent requests please get in touch with our team.
Can ergonomic assessments help with existing musculoskeletal issues?
Yes. If an employee is experiencing back pain, neck strain, wrist discomfort or other musculoskeletal issues, our ergonomic assessments can identify postural risks and provide strategies to alleviate discomfort.
Do you assess sit-to-stand workstations?
Yes, our Standard, Comprehensive and Group ergonomic assessments can all assess sit-to-stand workstations for individuals who use one.
