KINNECT appoints new Occupational Physician to team as business expands

KINNECT has welcomed another new addition to their Medical Team this year as Dr Matthew Brandt joins the business as an Occupational Physician.

With extensive experience in the field of occupational medicine, Dr Brandt is a Fellow (Specialist) of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) in active clinical practice and examiner for AFOEM.

Dr Matthew Brandt officially joins KINNECT on 25 August 2021.

Along with comprehensive experience in supporting employers to optimise workplace rehabilitation and return to work outcomes, Dr Brandt also has a particular interest in preventative measures encompassing hazard assessment, identification and control, as well as development and management of targeted health surveillance and biological monitoring protocols.

On joining KINNECT, Dr Brandt said:

“I’m so excited to join the KINNECT team. I admire the company’s multi-disciplinary and outcome-focused approach to solving problems for clients and helping employees to stay healthy, safe and productive at work.

“The scope of work at KINNECT is vast and means I’ll be able to actively contribute in a wide diversity of work, something which I value and enjoy.

“I’m particularly impressed with KINNECT’s Carelever technology which enables us to capture and monitor workers’ health data over their full employment lifecycle, which is a key strategy in supporting them to remain safe and healthy at work and beyond.”

Dr Brandt will initially join KINNECT’s Woolloongabba clinic but anticipates also working from the new clinic on Brisbane’s northside when it opens later this year.

Kevin Conlon, Chief Executive, added:

“As KINNECT enters its 25th year in business and continues to rapidly grow, we are delighted to welcome an Occupational Physician of such calibre to the team. Dr Matthew Brandt is extensively experienced and highly skilled. I know our clients and our team will welcome his counsel and input into the delivery of KINNECT’s Occupational Health services.”

Dr Brandt, who officially starts on 25 August, joins our existing Occupational Physicians including Dr Graeme Edwards and Dr Rosemary Knight, along with 10 additional Medical Practitioners who specialise in Occupational Health.
