KINNECT celebrates 25 year milestone with inaugural K-Day Awards

People Stories 30 Nov 2021

As KINNECT celebrates 25 years in business today (30 November 2021) the company has announced the winners of the annual ‘K-Day Awards’.

Welcoming over 120 nominations for employees around Australia, the Awards celebrate the outstanding contribution KINNECTers have made to the business and to their colleagues over the last 12 months.

Open to all departments, the awards were designed to recognise excellence in individuals, teams and in leadership within the business and coincide with KINNECT’s annual birthday celebration, known as ‘K-Day’.

And the 2021 K-Day winners are…

The Melbourne Team were awarded ‘Team of the Year’ for their excellent overall performance throughout 2021, working tireless throughout the challenges of the extended lockdown in Victoria.

In addition to the team Award, KINNECTers from Melbourne were also recognised for their leadership during the period. Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Brendon Carton, received the Emerging Leader accolade, while Melinda Narayan, Occupational Therapist and Team Leader, received the Inspiring Leader Award.

Trudi Boss, an Occupational Health Nurse from Mackay was recognised as the Consultant of the Year in Occupational Health, while Christy Ward, Accredited Exercise Physiologist from the Gold Coast, was awarded the Consultant of the Year in Workplace Rehabilitation.

Kaitlan Barnham was praised for her work too as a Support Services Superstar of the Year.

Finally, Accredited Exercise Physiologist in Brisbane, Jane Mousley, who celebrates her first anniversary with KINNECT today, picked up the Newcomer of the Year Award.

KINNECT, Chief Executive, Kevin Conlon, said:

“25 years ago today when I started KINNECT, I didn’t really know what I really wanted to do, but I knew I just wanted to help people.  Today, there are many more KINNECTers here to help us achieve this vision and helping people healthy, safe and productive at work.

“Our core values – happy, highly skilled people, creating sustainable value – are more than words on a wall. They are a way of life at KINNECT. As such, we have some of the very best people in KINNECT, highlighted by the fact we had so many nominations for these Awards. I’m proud of each and every one of our people and for every one of our winners.

“Congratulations to all of this year’s K-Day Awards Winners who have lived up to our core values and set an outstanding example to us all .”
