No matter what the job requirements might be, comfortable, happy workers are more likely to perform optimally and avoid sustaining work related injuries.
Small changes in the way workstations are set up, tasks are performed, and breaks are utilised can all make a huge difference to a worker’s long-term health.
KINNECT’s Ergonomic Assessments and Training Programs educate workers on correct ergonomic principles and assess each worker’s environment to ensure they are correctly set up to minimise the risk of injury, facilitate better health and well-being, and enhance productivity and performance.

Standard Ergonomic Assessment: 30 minutes
Comprehensive Ergonomic Assessment: 60 minutes
Vehicle Ergonomic Assessment: 60 minutes
Group Ergonomic Assessment: 15-20 minutes per person
Who completes the assessments?
Assessments are completed by tertiary qualified Allied Health Professionals (Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Accredited Exercise Physiologists) experienced in the delivery of ergonomic solutions.
Can the assessments be conducted remotely?
Yes, we offer virtual ergonomic assessments for employees working from home or in remote locations. These assessments are conducted via video call, where our expert will guide employees through workstation adjustments and provide tailored recommendations.
What’s the difference between a standard ergonomic assessment and a comprehensive assessment?
A standard ergonomic assessment focuses on workstation setup and posture adjustments, while a comprehensive assessment includes a more detailed evaluation of any pre-existing musculoskeletal concerns, in-depth recommendations, and a formal report with documented findings.
Do you provide ergonomic training for teams or just individual assessments?
We offer both individual ergonomic assessments and group training sessions. Our training workshops educate employees on ergonomic principles, posture awareness, and how to optimise their workspaces to prevent discomfort and injury.
Will you recommend new ergonomic equipment?
Our goal is to optimise the existing workstation setup first. However, if adjustments aren’t sufficient, we may recommend ergonomic accessories such as chairs, keyboards, mice, footrests, or sit-stand desks. We provide practical, cost-effective solutions based on individual needs.
Do you offer follow-up support after the assessment?
Yes, we offer ongoing support if employees need further guidance or if additional adjustments are required. We can also conduct reassessments to ensure long-term ergonomic improvements are maintained.
How soon can we schedule an ergonomic assessment?
We can typically schedule onsite or virtual ergonomic assessments within a few days, depending on availability and location. For urgent requests, please get in touch with our team.
Can ergonomic assessments help with existing musculoskeletal issues?
Yes. If an employee is experiencing back pain, neck strain, wrist discomfort, or other musculoskeletal issues, our ergonomic assessments can help identify postural risks and provide strategies to alleviate discomfort.
