Workplace Flu Vaccination Clinics

How it Works   Pricing

Workplace flu vaccination programs are essential for ensuring the health and wellbeing of employees and the workplace as a whole. Influenza, or the flu, is a highly contagious viral infection that can cause a range of symptoms, from mild to severe, and in some cases, even lead to hospitalization or death. By providing flu vaccinations to employees, employers can help to reduce the spread of the virus in the workplace, which can in turn help to reduce absenteeism and productivity losses. Moreover, workplace vaccination programs also promote a culture of health and safety, which can have a positive impact on employee morale and job satisfaction. By taking proactive measures to protect the health of their employees, employers can create a more resilient, productive, and successful workplace.

Why would you get vaccinated against the flu? Very simple answer… so you don’t catch it.

The influenza virus is very contagious and always around. Epidemics do occur every year.  A mobile Australian population means disease can spread quickly across great distances. The flu feels dreadful, so minimising the risk makes great sense. Flu shots stimulate your body to build your immunity against the disease.

Getting a flu vaccination is not just about protecting yourself, it’s also about protecting those around you.

Did you know that vaccinated workers require less than half the sick days of unvaccinated workers?

Flu Vaccination Clinic

A KINNECT Nurse Immuniser will attend your workplace to deliver the flu vaccinations. They will be available onsite for a minimum of 2 hours, however should you require additional hours, that can easily be arranged. Simply show them to the first aid room or private meeting room where the vaccinations are scheduled to take place and they will take care of the rest. Employees who miss the onsite clinic are able to access a flu vaccination via on offsite clinic locally, using a pre-paid voucher.

Australian Immunisation Register

The Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) is a national register that records all vaccines given to all people in Australia.

The AIR includes vaccines given:

  • Under the National Immunisation Program
  • Through school programs
  • Privately, such as for flu or travel.

You don’t need to add yourself to the AIR. If you’re enrolled in Medicare, you’ll already be on the AIR. You can’t update the AIR. Only a recognised vaccination provider can update the AIR. This includes doctors, such as a general practitioner or community health centre.

KINNECT is required to register any vaccination administered in the AIR. KINNECT will automatically register your flu vaccination in the AIR after the vaccine has been given. Additional fees apply for the administration associated with updating the AIR.
