Scope

A large LNG client with offshore operations in Central Queensland engaged KINNECT to provide onsite Injury Prevention Services to its operations for the duration of the project.  This included

  • Manual Handling /  Soft Tissue Injury Prevention Programs including one on one job coaching for all craft personnel (approximately 4000 + workers)
  • Pre-Start Warm Up / Stretching Program delivered to all personnel (greater than 4000 + staff) including the training of ‘stretch leaders’ to conduct the program daily with their respective crews / departments
  • Musculoskeletal risk assessments for high risk job tasks
  • Development of greater than 30 Job Dictionaries for use across all operations including return to work coordination and development of job specific pre-employment testing
  • Ergonomic assessments and training for all office based staff

Challenges

  • Offshore operations required added travel time
  • Frequent scope changes due to periods of high de-mobilisation of personnel

Outcomes Achieved

  • Successfully delivered Manual Handling Training / Soft Tissue Injury Prevention Program to greater than 4000 workers across multiple disciplines including one on one job coaching
  • Successfully delivered a Pre-Start Warm Up Program to greater than 4000 workers including the training of greater than 400 stretch leaders ensuring program durability
  • Successfully conducted 200 office based ergonomic assessments
